See where production is falling behind the plan

Compare recorded output with the shift plan, then inspect each line and its material status. A total tells you whether the plant is behind; the line records help the team decide what needs attention.

In the fictional dashboard, four lines produce 10.8 tonnes against a 12-tonne plan. One line is waiting on a receipt and another has a quality hold. The example points purchasing and quality to the records they need to review; it does not predict an unrecorded completion time.

  • Compare shift output with the production plan.
  • Review output and material constraints by line.
  • Identify the role responsible for the next check.

Separate resin on hand from resin you can use

Review grade, warehouse, reservations, and quality status together. In the sample plant, 42 tonnes on hand includes 26 available, 12 reserved, and 4 on quality hold. The inventory view shows how those quantities break down across HDPE, PP, and ABS.

The usable balance still depends on the required grade, lot, and location. Connect those definitions to your ERP and inventory records before using the answer to make a commitment.

  • Check availability by grade and lot.
  • Keep reserved stock and quality holds visible.
  • Link missing material to its purchasing record.

Check material and quality before promising a date

Bring the sales order, allocation, production status, and dispatch commitment into the same review. Sales can see whether a delay needs a supplier confirmation, a quality release, or a production update.

The sample order book has 18 open orders: 12 ready for review, 4 with material holds, and 2 with quality holds. These are fictional records. A missing receipt or inspection result remains a missing fact, rather than becoming an invented shipment date.

Follow a resin lot to the customers who received it

Relate a lot receipt to warehouse balances and shipment lines so quality can review where the material went. In the sample, lot 7731 has 8 tonnes received, 6.5 shipped to three customers, and 1.5 still on hand.

The answer depends on complete lot identifiers and shipment records. It supports a quality review; it is not a certification or a substitute for validating the underlying trace.

Configure the agent around your plant and its people

Start with one resin question, the systems that hold its records, and the employees who need the answer. We scope read-only access, map units and business terms, and define profiles for plant, purchasing, sales, and quality teams.

Shared memory can hold approved procedures and handoff context. Current inventory, output, and order facts come from the connected records. Your team decides which context can be shared and who can access it.

The first walkthrough uses a fictional industry dataset. Confirm connection coverage, source refresh, AI-provider data flow, and acceptance criteria for your environment before relying on the workflow.
